SCENE BEGINS IN...
HAMMOND'S OFFICE: We see FRAISER walk towards us, knock, and stand just inside
the door.
JANET:
General?
HAMMOND:
Doctor? Shouldn't you be offworld by now?
JANET:
I'm leaving with the next group, sir. Your name isn't on the list, sir.
HAMMOND:
That's correct.
FRAISER steps forward.
JANET:
May I ask why?
HAMMOND:
If that asteroid hits the only chance for the survival of the human race will rest with the Alpha site. We limited their number because they'll have limited resources. Everyone will have to contribute.
JANET:
Your experience makes you more than qualified, sir.
HAMMOND smiles.
HAMMOND:
I appreciate what you're trying to do, Doctor. But my decision is final.
FRAISER nods decisively.
JANET:
Yes sir.
FRAISER nods her head again in acknowledgement, and then leaves. The camera slowly closes in on HAMMOND's face.
…SCENE ENDS.
SCENE BEGINS IN…
THE GATEROOM: We see FRAISER standing with the last group, looking up at HAMMOND
and CHEVRON GUY in the CONTROL ROOM. FRAISER then turns to face the
Stargate.
We see a scene between HAMMOND, MAJOR DAVIS and CHEVRON GUY in the CONTROL ROOM.
THE GATEROOM: The camera closes in on FRAISER's face.
