OK, we open in a hospital. Looks like something out of ER. Or
Scrubs. But do we get Janet? Oh no… Opportunity wasted!
Sorry, folks. This is the first musing that I have done in goodness knows how
long, so it’ll take me a minute to get back into it.
You do know that Janet can be in places other than hospitals? Don’t you? DON’T
YOU?

Now, you see, I’ve been asked to do this and I haven’t the first clue what the
heck that means so in order to amuse myself I’m going to come up with my own
definition of the acronym. Let’s start with…
JITOC: Janet Is Taking Off her Coat
Do we have a LiveJournal icon yet?
I don’t have a live journal, why are you asking me this? Who wrote this? Who are
you people? Why won’t you leave me in peace? My comic genius can only be tapped
so much.
JITOC: Jump Inside The Octopus’ Closet. Oooo, I like that one.
In Teal'c's vision of the fire station, couldn't he find a role for Janet?
Opportunity wasted…
He even found roles for Chevron Guy, Siler and Siler’s wrench for goodness sake!
Hmmm, maybe Janet could have been a paramedic that they take around with them,
or heck, make her a fire-fighter, it’s not like Janet’s never done anything
useful on the other side of the gate.
JITOC: Janet Intimidates The Other Cast
Car crash. No paramedics. We could have had paramedic Janet. Opportunity
wasted…
Well, if you’ll look a bit further up, you’ll see that I’ve already mentioned
this. And hang on a second; Janet is a doctor, a paramedic
has just had a couple of months of medical training (very good medical training,
but not much compared to about 6 years worth). It’d be a bit of a demotion.
JITOC: Juggle In The Other Car. I hate it when people juggle when I’m driving.

practice.

Janet's being forceful. It's not the same as giving an order, but it's
still cool.
What rank is Janet? Are we ever told? I reckon she should be about lt. Col just
for having to put up with being on a show for six years AND NEVER GETTING ON THE
CREDITS!!!
JITOC: Janet Is Turning Off the Cooker (does this happen so often that you need
an acronym?)
Hospital? Janet? No. Opportunity wasted…
You want Janet to get her own spin-off series, in which Janet is not only the
hero but also gets to play the bad gal because it is her evil twin sister. And
then we could clone Janet to have an entire platoon of Janet, then she’d never
be off screen! Sounds like a winner to me.
JITOC: Jeffrey Is Tempted On Crete (Who is Jeffrey? Why is he tempted? What’s he
doing on Crete? You people have weird acronyms.)
Janet is talking about dreams. There's some comment to be made here. I'll
let Matt do that. Why should I do all the work?
Hmmm, how to fit the words ‘Janet’ and ‘dreams’ together? Toughie. Ah! Yes!
Janet’s a Youngien? I thought she was Freudian in her dream interpretation!

She just wants to get her hands on his symbiote. Any excuse…
Is this a sly Janet/Teal’c reference? Why be so coy? Everyone knows they had a
mad six years of passion. Teal’c just pretended to fancy Dreyauc and…that other
one.
JITOC: Janet Is The Omnipotent Cronos (in disguise, obviously)
Hospital? Yes. Janet? No. Opportunity wasted…
Once again, Janet is not in every single hospital. If she was I’d have slipped
down the stairs a long time ago.
JITOC: Jelly Is The Only (I want to say Contraceptive but I’m trying to keep
this clean) (oh sod it, I can’t think of anything else) Contraceptive.
Janet's playing "pass the symbiote" between Teal'c and Bra'tac. Wait until
the music stops, see who lives?
That’s a fun party game! I prefer Twister though. OK, I’ve randomly drawn names
out of a hat for the first game f Twister and, oh look! It’s Janet Carter and I!
What an amazing coincidence!
